Ernesto Santalla PLLC’s office space maximizes efficiency at its ground level location in Washington DC. Located immediately off of busy Wisconsin Avenue, the two-story building is part of the historic Georgetown neighborhood.

The office is organized into three zones. Facing the sidewalk, an informal meeting space allows light from a large bay window into the office; the back of the space houses storage, printers, material samples and a small library. Occupying the center of the office is a cluster of open workstations attached to a low wall that screens the view from the street. The blank sidewalls are perfect for sample storage on one side and a wall display of the firm’s projects on the opposing wall.

Colorful and at the same time subdued, custom cabinetry designed by Ernesto Santalla PLLC is a salient feature throughout. Streamlined and sophisticated, the bold lines of the office contrast with the rough finish of the concrete floors.
