CAGLCC gLife 2012
Graphic SS worked with the Capital Area Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce to develop a visual brand and event design for gLife. Marketed as a-day-in-the-life of everything LGBT in Washington, DC, this event featured exhibitions and booths both from LGBT owned business, as well as products and services geared toward the LGBT community. The event also hosted gLife University, a free seminar series on a wide range of topics pertaining to the LGBT community in DC.
Event Design
Graphic SS worked with the chamber to create a dynamic and vibrant event design for gLife that improved upon the traditional trade-show format. Attendees entered the space via escalators down to the atrium, which housed the stage for presenting sponsor COCOVA’s chocolate demonstrations. The CAGLCC membership booth, featuring graphic columns for each of the Chamber’s Core Events, greeted attendees to the exhibition hall. Inside the event space, we shifted the axis of the room, allowing for a grid that mimics elements of the city plan of Washington, DC. Our event design designated certain areas for “parks,” or lounge spaces for attendees to gather and mingle. The parks were sponsored by Washington DC furniture showrooms, providing cohesive and comfortable lounge spaces. We also preserved two seminar spaces in the room for gLife University, which housed the free presentations for attendees.
Environmental Graphics
Graphic SS designed environmental graphics, posters and signs within the visual brand established for gLife 2013.
